Shop Small Holiday Gift Guide 2021

We love to shop small and support local, just like you! So, we’ve put together this gift guide featuring products from our favourite vendors who are both geographically close, and near and dear to our hearts.

Have a browse! Our hope is that we can help you find that perfect gift for the special people on your list!

For the Coffee Aficionado

Give the gift of caffeination with a bag of ‘oh so delicious’ coffee from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan based The Daily Grind. This quaint and friendly coffee shop uses organic, fair-trade beans that are sourced ethically. Dave roasts them with care in-store in Maple Creek and blends them according to customers’ tastes.

We have three roasts available that reflect the culture and heritage of southwest Saskatchewan.  The fan favourite has been the Rancher’s Roast, a medium blend of beans from Peru & Costa Rica.

However, if you like to kick it up a notch, we highly recommend the Dark Horse.  A blend of dark-roasted beans from Peru and Honduras, Dark Horse has all the interest and mystery of a good dark roast coffee with none of the bitterness many people expect.  Trust us, it’s a very approachable dark roast and we know your giftee will love it!

For the Accessory Queen

Top knots all day! We can’t resist a good scrunchie…and when they’re made from 100% Pure Mulberry Silk, who can!?  Blush Silks is one of our newest vendors!  Based in Manitoba, the owners are well-aware of how winter can wreak havoc on our hair. These silk scrunchies help reduce hair damage – no more kinks, breakage, or tangles.   Plus, their pretty!  A no-brainer gift for the girl on-the-go.

Combine it with jewelry from one of our Western Canadian makers and the Accessory Queen’s gift is complete.  All our jewelry is made in Saskatchewan and Alberta by female artisans.  We love working with Bailey from Rogue Jewelry, Brooke from Motte Jewelry, and Ashley from AH Designs.  Find their handmade pieces in-store.

For the Peppermint Lover

We could not resist all the peppermint in Lamb Soapwork’s holiday collection this year!  The ultimate in holiday scents.  The Peppermint Twist lotion is available in two sizes – the 2 oz being the perfect stocking stuffer! A refreshingly cool clean mix of peppermint and benzoin essential oils, unrefined cocoa butter and GMO-free sunflower oil form the base of this luxuriously moisturizing seasonal lotion.

The Rosemary Peppermint Body Scrub is also at the top of our list. Therapeutic rosemary and peppermint essential oils detoxify, refresh, exfoliate and leave skin feeling soft and moisturized after use.

Lara, the artisan, and visionary behind Lamb’s Soapworks, is committed to providing the best hand-crafted natural bath and body products.  All her creations are made in small batches with the highest quality, sustainably sourced, vegetable-based butters and oils.

For The Friend that Needs a Break

2021 has been another crazy year.  Most of us could use some time to unwind and relax.  And with the cold weather about to hit, a warm soak in the bath sounds like just the ticket.

Give the gift of relaxation with a bath bomb or two from Lamb’s Soapworks.  It’s so hard to choose a favourite, but we are loving the seasonal scents of Apple Cider and Peppermint Cocoa.  The Root Beer Float also deserves a special mention!

For the Host/Hostess

We all know how much love and hard work goes into those delicious holiday meals and festive events!  Show your appreciation for the host with one of Charleston & Harlow’s luxury soy candles or room sprays!

Featuring notes of icy blue spruce needles, cool mint, holly berries, and crisp winter’s air, the Sprucin’ Up the Joint candle is sure to impress. We’re also loving the ‘Red & White Stripes’ addition to their holiday collection, Featuring notes of straight-up icy peppermint with a twist of vanilla.

Top it off with 54+ Pine’s ‘Fancy Matches’.  Pretty enough to display in your bathroom or on a coffee table, and made from renewable forest resources.

For the Kiddos

We are so pleased to introduce a new vendor to our impossible to resist children’s section!  Little Luba is based in Saskatoon and made for the bold and adventurous little ones. Using high quality and earth friendly fabrics, Little Luba creates pieces to be enjoyed over and over again.

Our favourite from their first delivery is hands down the adorable leopard leggings. Pair with the rust Peace Sweater and this little outfit is sure to make all the baby pics!

Another absolute must-have are Saskatchewan author and illustrator, Amber Antymniuk's children's books. H is for Home: A Saskatchewan Alphabet, and Grandpa's Garage will draw readers in, young and old.

For the Eco-Conscious

Zero Waste Movement’s eco-friendly products make for the perfect stocking stuffers!  We highly recommend the Bamboo Cotton Buds, which are 100% biodegradable and an excellent alternative to the plastic cotton swabs that end up in the landfill.  Their Reusable Makeup Remover Pads are also a must – one pad is equivalent to 1000 cotton disposable rounds!

Zero Waste MVMT is a Canadian company from Winnipeg, Manitoba. All of their products are designed to help you reduce waste in an economic and eco-friendly way! A tree is planted with every purchase!
