Daily Grind Whole Bean Coffee

We are pleased to introduce three special coffee blends that reflect the culture and heritage of Maple Creek and Southwest Saskatchewan. No cowboys were harmed while testing these products!

The Daily Grind uses organic, fair trade beans that are sourced ethically. Dave roasts them with care in store in Maple Creek, and they blend them according to customers’ tastes.

RANCHER’S ROAST Ranchers work hard, and should have a good morning coffee to get their day started. With this in mind, Dave combined a medium Costa Rica with a medium Peru, both roasted to perfection. The Costa Rica provides brightness, while the Peru ensures the coffee is not acidic. This is a bright, smooth coffee which we enjoy in the morning, or anytime we need a pick-me-up.

CLASSIC COWBOY Anyone who lives in Cowboy Country knows about cowboy coffee, so we decided our first priority would be creating a coffee that would work well in the percolator or on the trail over a campfire. We tried different blends until our cowboy testers declared it perfect, even boiled over a campfire. A mix of medium and medium-dark coffee beans, this coffee is our bestseller and the one we use in our espresso machine – an all-round, all-purpose blend.

DARK HORSE Dark roasts are a staple in our house, served with dessert or a liqueur (or both!) after supper, or on a lazy Sunday afternoon over ice with whipped cream and the flavouring of your choice. A blend of dark-roasted beans from Peru and Honduras, Dark Horse has all the interest and mystery of a good dark roast coffee with none of the bitterness many people expect. Its popularity is growing weekly.
